ReefCI and Emperor Divers have joined forces to provide valuable research and conservation projects to help protect the Red Sea’s marine eco-system.  Emperor and ReefCI will be conducting year round Reef Check surveys and co-operating with Red Sea environmental authorities and NGOs to provide data for ongoing local projects. And you can be a part of this valuable contribution towards protecting the future of the Red Sea.

Red Sea Diving and Marine Conservation Packages

Much like our diving trips in the Caribbean we have collaborated with Emperor to bring a similar excursion but to the Red Sea. Combine marine conservation with diving in the red sea and make a difference to eco tourism as a whole.

• A combination of recreational diving in the Red Sea and marine conservation 
• This package includes an introductory presentation about coral reefs, fishing practices and survey methodologies
• Opportunity to learn fish, invertebrate and coral identification
• Benefit from feedback and support by a professional marine biologist
• Reef Check survey methodologies
• Add an extra day of fun diving or ReefCI programmes to your booking or decide once you are in resort.
• No experience necessary, all training is provided.

• As above but with a little more emphasis on conservation.
• Culminating with a Reef Check survey

• If you would like to learn as much as possible in the time available or you are already familiar with surveying techniques then select this full ReefCI option.
• In addition to the Reef Check surveys and marine life ID instruction you will receive commercial fish ID training and take part in commercial fish surveys.

ReefCI and Emperor can also tailor your PADI Dive course to include conservation training and dives. After your PADI Open Water course you can take a 1 or 2 day ReefCI introduction course, which will teach you about the marine environment and encourage good diving practices from day one.  Alternatively, combine your PADI Advanced Open Water course with conservation training and survey techniques that will improve your knowledge of the reef and show how you can “make a difference when you dive”.

All diving is from Emperor’s PADI 5 Star Gold Palm Resort in Hurghada.  The centre has its own private jetty and fleet of day boats. You can choose your accommodation from a wide variety of hotels close to the dive centre; daily transfers between hotels and the dive centre are included in the price.
