April, May and June
The Whale Shark season and this year we were not disappointed. We were extremely lucky to witness a Whale Shark feeding, it was an incredible experience to see such a complete food chain…the birds feeding on the sardines, the tuna feeding on the small fish and 2 Caribbean Reef Sharks and a Lemon Shark feeding on the tuna…in amongst this feeding frenzy the 45 foot Whale Shark calmly feeding on the plankton. The diving as usual was also incredible during this time of year. With up to 40 metres visibility we got to see manta rays, turtles, eagle rays etc, etc. It is also the closed season for lobster, we completed a number of surveys working on ascertaining breeding patterns and migratory paths. Kelly and Tamsin did their Dive Master course.
